Absolute Beginner Ballet

About this event

Whether your dance experience begins and ends with some enthusiastic living room moves, or you took one class in childhood and decided it wasn’t for you, welcome. We’re starting from scratch, together, and it’s going to be a good time. We’ll learn the basics: where to put your feet, what to do with your arms, and how to feel slightly more elegant than you did when you walked in. Barre exercises, simple combinations, a little French vocabulary you’ll definitely forget and relearn several times, all of it taught at a relaxed pace, with plenty of room for laughing at yourself (we all do it). No tights required. No prior grace required. Just show up curious and ready to try something new. Ballet is for every body, every age, and every person who’s ever watched a dancer and thought I wonder if I could do that. Spoiler: you can. Let’s find out together.
