- ➤ Martin Luther King Jr. Day falls on Jan. 19 when federal and state offices will close and public schools remain off. Across Michigan, communities plan rallies, marches, and commemorative lectures — all designed to honor his legacy and promote civil rights. Battle Creek Enquirer
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Calhoun County Dispatch Authority partnered with Michigan Storm Chasers to install two live-feed cameras (one at the B Drive North radio tower in Leroy Township and one in Albion) for improved severe weather and traffic monitoring. The cameras now offer real-time views to support emergency response. Battle Creek Enquirer
