  • WK Kellogg Co and Post Consumer Brands will hold a cereal sale at Full Blast, 35 Hamblin Avenue West on Friday, March 6 to sell 10,000 boxes at $2 each to benefit United Way of South Central Michigan + past sales raised over $30,000.  102.7 WFAT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Applebee’s closed three restaurants in Missouri and Indiana this month and will close a location in New York on April 12, but none of its 81 Michigan locations are planned for closure.  Battle Creek Enquirer

CULTURE NEWS

  • Second City will return to the Franke Center for its 65th anniversary show on March 6 in Marshall. A preshow happy hour begins at 7 p.m. and the 8 p.m. performance will feature improv, sketches — and music.  Battle Creek Enquirer

  • Dr. Diana Bitner from True Women's Health explains that stroke risk for women can be lowered in midlife by treating high blood pressure, cholesterol, and insulin resistance (and by staying active for at least 30 minutes daily).   • Local high school bowlers from Pennfield, Marshall, Bronson, Lakeview and Homer qualified at regionals for MHSAA state championships set to start Feb. 27 in Jackson, with finals in Allen Park, Waterford and Taylor.  Battle Creek Enquirer
  • Battle Creek-area high school boys' basketball teams advanced in district semifinals on Feb. 25.
