Opponents of Ford's BlueOval Battery Plant plan to appeal a Court of Appeals decision to the Michigan Supreme Court as part of their challenge to ongoing construction — Marshall Mayor Scott Wolfersberger said previous rulings brought relief while the plant is expected to open later this year.

Battle Creek water crews repaired a water main break on John R Street on Tuesday, March 3, which closed the street between Capital Avenue SW and Grand Boulevard and shut off water for residents at 2-15 John R Street + 140 Grand Boulevard until 5 p.m.
