- ➤ Battle Creek crews from Public Works and state environmental staff are working to lower harmful trihalomethanes in the water system after tests found levels above the federal standard. They have changed treatment steps and drained test water to reduce TTHM levels by 40%—a process that will continue over the next 12 to 18 months. WOOD TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Tony's Chocolonely is recalling seven lots of Dark Almond Sea Salt and Everything Bars in Michigan after small stones were found during almond processing. Shoppers who bought the bars from stores such as Walmart and Whole Foods between Feb 7 and March 24 should return them or discard the product for a refund or replacement. Battle Creek Enquirer

- ➤ LMCU Ballpark reopened after a complete renovation that gave the White Caps a new playing field with better drainage, new sod, a zero slope and a 15-foot warning track. The ballpark now offers added terrace seating and upgraded team facilities — including a batting cage, weight room and expanded event space — that helped fans enjoy closer views during the opening game on April 4th.
