  • A 20-year-old Battle Creek man named Oscar David Wygant was arraigned Monday on an accessory after the fact charge for the April 12 shooting death of security guard Montine Wiley, Jr. during an altercation at an event on the 400 block of East North Street in Kalamazoo and is held at Kalamazoo County Jail on a $1,500 cash/surety bond.  102.7 WFAT

  • Today, Michigan observes Earth Day as Gov. Whitmer and Lt. Gov. Gilchrist proclaim the day to protect our natural resources and promote green habits like walking and tree planting.   • Public media is a crucial investment—costing about $1.60 per person it reaches 99% of Americans and provides WKAR’s emergency alerts, local news and educational programs.
