- ➤ Battle Creek residents can use the 88,000 sqft Full Blast Recreation Center under new summer hours, open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays while closed Sundays; nearby Flash Flood Waterpark will open Memorial Day weekend for seasonal fun. Battle Creek Enquirer

- ➤ Delta Air Lines announced it will end food and beverage service on flights 349 miles or less starting May 19; roughly 450 daily flights serving Michigan airports — including stops in Lansing, Traverse City, and Grand Rapids — will no longer offer snacks and drinks for passengers on short trips. - ➤ West Michigan drivers face rising fuel costs as record diesel costs $6.01 a gallon Monday, and GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan warned the ongoing Strait of Hormuz conflict may lead to higher grocery prices and impact local farmers; gas prices may dip later this week once refinery issues are fixed. - ➤ Ten local high school seniors received $25,000 in scholarships from Marshall Community Credit Union on April 17, with each student awarded $2,500 to support further education.
