- ➤ On June 12, three cows from the Halbert Herd escaped their enclosure in Bedford Township and grazed a neighbor's flower beds outside Battle Creek. Battle Creek Police and animal control officers—Corporal Craig Wolf, Officer Emily Tuyls and Animal Control Officer Patrick Dellinger—safely returned the cows home, though some flower beds were left damaged. - ➤ Oaklawn Hospital will host free Advanced Directive Workshops to help community members plan for future health care needs—Oaklawn case managers will assist with paperwork at local libraries, senior centers, and city halls starting Tuesday, June 24 and running through late August.
