- ➤ Battle Creek police investigated a shooting that occurred early Monday morning at 2:14 a.m. on the northeast side near North McKinley, North Wabash, and Sherman Road where a 44-year-old man received non-life-threatening gunshot wounds while riding in a black SUV (investigators believe the incident was isolated and are searching for the vehicle). 102.7 WFAT
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Michigan will celebrate Juneteenth on June 19 to mark a federal and state holiday honoring the end of slavery. Government offices will close while many businesses and delivery services remain open — letting residents shop and send packages as usual. Battle Creek Enquirer
