Customers should return the recalled items—including 12‑ounce black stand-up pouches with sell‑by dates May 7 and May 28 and 1.5‑ounce multi‑packs with a May 5 sell‑by date—for a full refund. - ➤ Battle Creek city commissioners will consider a proposal this evening to rename the intersection of Battle Creek Avenue and Capital Avenue SW to 'Jack Snyder Way' in honor of the 17-year-old high school senior killed in a February 2023 carjacking—his parents requested the tribute as Mayor Mark Behnke and other officials review the proposal. 102.7 WFAT
- ➤ The Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch Authority celebrated an $18 million upgrade to its emergency communications system on June 12 — it installed 1,076 new radios, 476 pagers, and upgraded towers to help law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies talk clearly. The new Motorola-powered system now lets agencies work together securely and was paid for by a voter-approved 911 millage. Battle Creek Enquirer
