- ➤ A baby red panda was born at Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek on June 11—this is the first cub for mother Garnet while father Justin remains on display. Garnet and her cub are kept indoors to bond and guests are asked to speak quietly to avoid disturbing them. 102.7 WFAT
- ➤ In May, Duncan Aviation led a record food drive when businesses at Fort Custer Industrial Park filled all 17 South Michigan Food Bank vehicles with food and supplies needed to deliver over 95,000 meals across eight counties. - ➤ DTE Energy advises residents to set their thermostats to 78 degrees and raise the temperature when away—every degree increased saves 1% to 3% on energy bills.
