- ➤ An Otsego man died on Thursday when he was hit by a tractor trailer near the 124th Avenue exit on US-131 while working on his vehicle—two hours later a four-car crash near Plainwell killed a Battle Creek woman after a pickup driver did not stop for backed-up traffic. 102.7 WFAT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office said a 30-year-old prisoner tried to escape during a hospital visit for a hand injury on Sunday shortly before 8 a.m.—he was caught within 10 minutes with help from a Battle Creek officer and deputies will seek additional charges for the attempt. FOX 17

- ➤ AAA predicts that the upcoming July holiday season will see over 2.1 million Michigan residents travel 50 miles or more, with nearly 1.8 million taking road trips and gas prices remaining near $3.30 per gallon.
