- ➤ Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek is celebrating its 50th year with Tour de Zoo on Aug. 1 and Corks & Kegs on Sept. 6—other Michigan zoos in Lansing, Grand Rapids, Detroit and Saginaw offer family events such as Zoo Nights and after-hours attractions with a range of ticket prices available for a fun summer outing. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Whitmer announced that Michigan eliminated $144 million in medical debt for more than 210,000 residents through a state initiative in partnership with Undue Medical Debt last Thursday. Residents will receive notification letters in the mail in the coming days—ensuring many know of the debt relief available. FOX 17

- ➤ On July 10th, A.P. Deauville recalled 67,214 cases of Power Stick roll-on deodorants due to deviations from FDA quality standards — the products sold at major retailers including Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Amazon in Michigan should be discarded by consumers. Battle Creek Enquirer
