- ➤ Kellogg Community College hosted its President's Breakfast on June 12 in the Binda Lobby on campus in Battle Creek. Scholarship recipients including Sofia Bailey, Logan Bayer, Madelyn Hubbell, Patrick Preisman, Sophia Saunders and Arinn Wing — who expressed thanks for the awards — spoke about the support and the event also offered updates on Foundation activities. - ➤ The Justice Department appointed Timothy VerHey as the interim United States Attorney for the Western District of Michigan on July 21, and he was sworn in by Chief Judge Hala Y. Jarbou. With nearly 35-year experience as a federal prosecutor in cases from fraud to violent crime, he now leads a team of about 70 in a district serving 1.6 million people. FOX 17
