  • Michigan's average gas price is up eight cents a gallon to $3.23 at the start of this week, with Grand Rapids at $3.30 and Marquette at $3.02 while a 15-gallon fill costs about $48—counties like Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and Calhoun show mid-range prices near $3.21 to $3.22.  102.7 WFAT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Calhoun County is holding three meetings in August to get residents' views on its recycling program, with sessions on August 6 in Ceresco and Albion and an additional meeting on August 7 in Homer. The public input is part of a state requirement following changes to the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act—separate sessions are planned for business owners.  102.7 WFAT

HEALTH NEWS

  • Michigan health officials said on Monday that even after federal changes, pregnant women and children over six months should continue to get the COVID vaccine and it remains fully covered by insurance.
