- ➤ The Michigan Apple Committee released a guide that showed Paula Red was scheduled for harvest on Aug. 17 and Ginger Gold on Aug. 18, with other varieties to be picked from Aug. 25 through Oct. 29. Apples from nearly 15 million trees on 34,500 acres and 775 family-run farms will be available at local farms, cider mills, markets, and stores—bringing a busy fall harvest to our area. FOX 17
- ➤ Triple-A Michigan reports that the average gas price is now $3.12 a gallon after an 11-cent drop from last week; Ann Arbor sells gas at $3.22 while Marquette offers the lowest price at $3.04. A 15-gallon fill-up costs about $46 and prices in southwest Michigan show Kalamazoo County at $2.98—highlighting regional differences. 102.7 WFAT
