EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kellogg Community College will start its fall sports season soon with women's soccer, volleyball, and cross country teams—each set to compete starting late August and early September. The teams have strong returning players and promising local newcomers who will face challenging road matchups as they aim for regional titles. Battle Creek Enquirer
- ➤ Kellogg Community College is offering its free Kickstart program to help students prepare for college and earn credit; the program runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from Sept. 8 to Oct. 14 at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek — participants receive academic advising, a First Year Seminar course, free lunch, textbooks and Visa gift card stipends. Applications are open to students registered or planning to register for fall or spring classes who meet eligibility requirements. Battle Creek Enquirer
- ➤ Kellogg Community College will begin its fall semester on Aug. 25 with over 300 classes—nearly 130 offered online—and run through Dec. 12. The college is launching new degree and certificate programs such as computer integrated machining and business administration—students are advised to register early as space is limited.
