- ➤ Calhoun County deputies arrested a 28-year-old Battle Creek man—whose Springfield home linked him to items stolen on Monday—on Tuesday after he was caught breaking into vehicles at a dealership on W Dickman Road while another suspect fled. WOOD TV

- ➤ A guided bird walk is scheduled for Sept. 13 at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary from 9 to 10:30 a.m.—participants will meet at the Resource Center building and then head to Wintergreen Lake to see migratory birds and learn how insects support their journey.
