GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Due to wet weather, the City of Battle Creek adjusted the Watkins Road reconstruction schedule after placing the base asphalt layer. Today, crews will pave one lane and apply asphalt over the culvert and driveways, and they will return on Sept. 3 or 4 to finish paving—full reopening is expected on Sept. 5 with lane shifts until restoration work is complete by Sept. 12.
