- ➤ The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Michigan and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for not providing full voter registration lists with personal details such as birthdates and partial social security numbers. Benson said she is protecting personal information by releasing only the public voter file—raising concerns over the federal request. FOX 17

- ➤ At local high school football games yesterday, Climax-Scotts beat St. Philip 66—0 while Battle Creek Central rallied from a halftime deficit to win 26—18 over Loy Norrix with a last-minute touchdown. - ➤ After a 4-2 win over Cleveland on Sept. 25, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said the win gave his team a boost as they head into the final three games with a magic number of two to reach the playoffs.
