- ➤ Battle Creek Symphony will perform Candlelight Serenade at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8th at the Pennfield Performing Arts Center on 8587 Pennfield Road — tickets are $24 for adults and $13 for students. Battle Creek Enquirer
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ High school students Simone Brown from Battle Creek Central and Allivia Rizor from Lakeview gained sports broadcasting experience last week with help from Heart2Heart Radio and the 13th Year Program by Joy Consulting—Brown interviewed players at a football game while Rizor did similar work at another event. The project gives them a chance to build skills for a future in sports journalism. Battle Creek Enquirer
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The beaver moon, the closest supermoon this year, will appear full on the evenings of Nov. 4 and Nov. 5—its nearest point from Earth is 221,817 miles, giving locals a chance to see it larger and brighter than usual. It will peak at 8:19 a.m. on Nov. 5 and is the second of three full supermoons in 2025. Battle Creek Enquirer
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Battle Creek REALTORS has launched a Spanish version of its educational video to help first-time buyers learn about homeownership steps, financing options and the mortgage process. The video, developed by the association’s Committee for Diversity and Inclusion, aims to guide Hispanic and Spanish-speaking residents in building generational wealth. Battle Creek Enquirer

- ➤ Battle Creek Enquirer is accepting votes for the Girls Athlete of the Week, presented by Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, featuring nominees from Harper Creek, Lakeview, and Gull Lake for performances from Oct. 13 to 18.
