- ➤ Officials from WMed announced that an anonymous $1.52 million gift will boost child and adolescent psychiatry services in southwest Michigan—funds will support the Dean’s Endowment for Clinical Excellence by recruiting up to three new specialists and provide $20,000 for immediate use. 102.7 WFAT

- ➤ Harper Creek sophomore Ella Laupp broke the 500-yard freestyle record set in 1987 by clocking 5:15.84 during a recent meet—replacing Lindy Maroney's long-held mark.
