- ➤ Consumers Energy sold its 13 hydropower dams for $1 each and will pay to buy back power at $160 per megawatt hour with a 2.5% annual increase in a 30‑year deal—this plan shifts future maintenance and environmental liabilities to a private firm and awaits state and federal approval. FOX 17

Harper Creek beat Pennfield 3-1 at Vicksburg High School to advance to the semifinals while Coldwater won 3-0 over Battle Creek Central in Division 1 and early rounds in Divisions 3 and 4 started—Homer lost to Centreville and Union City beat Quincy.
