- ➤ FireKeepers Casino Hotel will host comedian Lewis Black on Feb. 27, 2026 at 8 p.m. — doors open at 7 p.m., while rock band George Thorogood and The Destroyers will perform on March 27, 2026 at 8 p.m. Tickets, starting at $29 with extra fees, go on sale Nov. 15. Battle Creek Enquirer
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Michigan Gov. Whitmer ordered that U.S. and state flags remain at half-staff in honor of former Vice President Dick Cheney, who died on November 3. The flags will stay lowered until his interment on November 20 at 11 a.m. ET at Washington National Cathedral. Battle Creek Enquirer
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Lakeview defeated Caledonia 3-0 at Portage Northern to advance to the Division 1 regional final set for Friday at 6 p.m.—Bronson and St. Philip also reached their regional finals after wins in Divisions 3 and 4, while Harper Creek ended its season with a loss to Tecumseh in Division 2. Regional finals for Divisions 2, 3, and 4 are scheduled for Thursday. Battle Creek Enquirer
- ➤ Kellogg Community College basketball is starting a new chapter as the men's team fields an all-freshman roster and the women's team welcomes new coach James Moore. The men's team will play 28 games with a home game on Nov. 19 while the women play through late February — both teams face growing pains as they adjust. Battle Creek Enquirer
