- ➤ Harper Creek Community Schools students will explore Hispanic culture on March 19 when they attend the third annual Spanish Cultural Awareness Project at the W.K. Kellogg Auditorium—live performances by the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet will show authentic dance, music and traditions. Grants from the Guido A. and Elizabeth H. Binda Foundation and the Miller Foundation funded the event—and students in grades one through twelve will take part in lessons before and after the performance. Battle Creek Enquirer

- ➤ Michigan stayed in the playoff chase when Dominic Zvada kicked a 31-yard field goal as time expired to give them a 24–22 win over Northwestern at Wrigley Field on November 15. The Wolverines (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) had three turnovers (including two picked off by Bryce Underwood) but made key plays from Jordan Marshall and freshman Andrew Marsh to secure their fourth win in a row.
