- ➤ Charitable Union recycles old clothes and athletic shoes to keep them out of landfills and help the environment. The organization accepts donations Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. — the program has been active since the 1990s and has already recycled more than 200,000 pounds of textiles. - ➤ Amazon drivers at the Walker delivery station will deliver over 100,000 packages daily during the busy December season. Residents are encouraged to keep doorways lit and paths free of salt, snow, and ice to help ensure timely and safe deliveries. FOX 17

- ➤ Denny’s is nearing its goal to close 150 underperforming restaurants by year’s end, but none of its Michigan franchised outlets are identified for closure (Belleville has already shuttered). The company is also exploring a major sale that could change future plans. Battle Creek Enquirer

- ➤ KCC Foundation opened its scholarship applications online for the 2026–27 academic year for new, returning & transferring KCC students. Applicants must submit their forms by 11:59 p.m. on March 2. Battle Creek Enquirer
