- ➤ Over 190,000 Michigan SNAP recipients must meet new work requirements to keep getting food benefits; able-bodied individuals must work 80 hours per month through employment, volunteering, or self-employment (exemptions apply in 15 counties and 6 cities). Battle Creek Enquirer
